Anyone's legs STILL sore from earlier this week?

I don;t know about anyone else, but my legs are still freaking killing me from all those squats and everything else this week. That was a killer WOD from Jerry on Monday and I felt that for a couple days after and my kick boxking and s tuff has just kept the pain alive. Anyone know any good ways to recoup better or quicker? I have been 'zoning' and i take glutamine tabs but i'm still sore.

Gin and tonic water helps. So do ice baths. Or alternative, some other exercise that stimulates blood flow to the muscle will flush out some of the lactic acid and other waste products that contribute to soreness and the dreaded DOMS effect. My legs didn't loosen up from that monday workout until I had three or four G&T's, a few ice baths, and ran four miles.... Not in that order.

Mike, I hurt for days, but I forced myself to do Karen on Thursday and it warmed my leg muscles right up. It's all about stretching and then getting blood pumping in your muscles. The zone should help too.

Mike, definitely stretch. That's the only thing I have found to help... well that and being forced to run stairs at work... I think it must loosen everything up. :P

Hmmm, It sounds like you are pretty well squared away so far. We need to talk to Jerry more about this. I am going to be running outside of training more and more as I get closer to my fight, you are welcome to join me. Nothing too crazy, but like a couple miles and then integrating sprints in at the end. Also check out some of the discussions on the CF home webpage. There is a tremendous amount of info from the entire CF community out there. Also, i will tell you some things offline about how I crashed a bunch before the last fight, but I won't tell you on here because jerry will yell at me.

Cool, thanks! I ZONED OUT over the 4thjuly weekend. So, I am in a "zone re-grouping" mode. How much cardio? As you know (or not) I also do Muy thai twice a week. I do have an elliptical at home, which I also use about 3-4 times a week (in addition to Xfit and Muy Thai). Thougts!

Sure 'nuff. We can start putting together our Zone logs and working in some extra cardio stuff. I am pretty sure that Zoning hardcore will be the best way because come week two of that, the % will begin to noticeably drop.

Oh and one of those side links said that green tea is the only way to go, not exercise or anything so maybe we have gone the wrong direction. Just playing

Hi Mike, you are not the only one. My quads are still a sore; however, I have been incorporating some stretching after my routines. I found that it helps. Also, try epsom salt bath...and maybe a glass of vino. Just kidding!

Hey, on another note. I need your help with trying to lose body fat. As you know the challenge starts today and I am feeling SUPER anxious of not meeting my goal. Could you help?
