I hope you guys had a fantastic cruise!!! JEALOUS!!!! I am also sorry that you missed Coach's visit. Dan and I weren't sure until the last minute how things were going to play out, so we were somewhat quiet about him coming into town.
Coach was scheduled to speak at the National War College since summer, but we were awaiting a solid date. A lot of things have happened which I would be happy to speak personally to you or your hubby about. Therfore, everything was tenacious for a bit......Anyway it came down to the last few days before his visit that we knew in fact that he was coming to appear, then that we were going through with a CFOT dinner. His appearance at the Blue Room was totally off-the-cuff. We had a few minutes before we went to the restaraunt and Dan knew it would be meaningful to Jerry and everybody that was completing the WOD. We had him, Keturah and John Welbourn in the car and literally just made a detour and stopped in for 10 minutes.
The CFOT dinner at The Chart House was really fun and we had also received news that very same day that the selection list for full-bird Colonel had come out and Daniel was on it! So we partied like rock stars that evening!
Dan will not pin on his rank until sometime this summer........HOWEVER, Coach, John Welbourn and Tony Blauer will be all attending his graduation on June 11th. So we cannot make promises, but they will all be in town and it could possibly be another opportunity to meet and greet......Photos?
On the main site today is the first part of his presentation to the War College. Jerry, Keturah, Capt Craig all have DVD's of the entirety. Capt Craig, Mike Snyder and Keturah all came to the presentation at the college. I asked Keturah to accompany to pick up Coach and John from the Hilton and ferry them to the school!
