I believe in the soul. Metabolic conditioning. The deadlift. The pull-up. The lumbar curve of your back. The hang snatch. High box jumps. Good nuts. That the writings of most "exercise scientists" are reactionary, overrated crap. I believe that Jack LaLanne fathered us all. I believe there ought to be a Constitutional Amendment outlawing the Smith Machine and the quarter-squat. I believe in the Olympic bar, rubber bumper plates, and dumping weights from overhead if you have to. And I believe in long, slow, after-WOD soreness that lasts for three days.

Goals and Progression

I was spending my usual first hour of the work day visiting some crossfit sites and came across a post on Crossfit OneWorld. For those of you who don't recognize the name Jason Khalipa he is the 2008 Crossfit Male Champion. Freddy C from One World found his first WOD from December 14, 2006. Pace Calculator

I know a few of us were trying to figure out our mile pace after the run this morning. Here is a calculator. Based on Leslie's GPS the run was about 1.68-1.7 miles.

Thanks Matt. working in the gym definitely has it perks. when you get a chance take a look at the message board under CrossFit forums - I signed up CJJ for Fight Gone Bad Fundraiser 3. everything is ready for other people to sign up and join the team - yourself included.

hopefully you will be ready to go by September 27th and can join us out here. get that shoulder better!

if you are free this Saturday 7/19 please come and hit the CrossFit workout here in Loudoun. There will be a TV crew shooting footage for the upcoming CJJ commercial. if you need more motivation here it is - there will be tire flips!
